Passion Fruit Drizzle Caprese Toast
Ingredients for the Passion Fruit Reduction
- 1/2 cup of La Finca Harvest passion fruit puree
- 1/4 cup of balsamic vinegar
- Two tablespoons of sugar
Instructions
- Mix 1/2 cup of passion fruit puree, 1/4 cup of balsamic vinegar, and two tablespoons of sugar in a saucepan
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle boil
- Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 10-15 minutes or until it thickens to a syrup-like consistency. Stir occasionally
- Once the passion fruit reduction has thickened, remove it from the heat and allow it to cool. It will continue to thicken as it cools
- Slices of mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil leaves
- Slices of bread (for toasting)
- While the passion fruit reduction is cooling, prepare the toasts. Take slices of bread and toast them until they are crispy and golden
- Place slices of mozzarella cheese on the toasted bread
- Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 10-15 minutes or until it thickens to a syrup-like consistency. Stir occasionally
- Drizzle the cooled passion fruit reduction over the mozzarella and basil toasts
