Passion Fruit Drizzle Caprese Toast

Ingredients for the Passion Fruit Reduction

  • 1/2 cup of La Finca Harvest passion fruit puree
  • 1/4 cup of balsamic vinegar
  • Two tablespoons of sugar

Instructions

  1. Mix 1/2 cup of passion fruit puree, 1/4 cup of balsamic vinegar, and two tablespoons of sugar in a saucepan
  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle boil
  3. Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 10-15 minutes or until it thickens to a syrup-like consistency. Stir occasionally
  4. Once the passion fruit reduction has thickened, remove it from the heat and allow it to cool. It will continue to thicken as it cools

  5. Ingredients for the Mozzarella and Basil Toasts

    • Slices of mozzarella cheese
    • Fresh basil leaves
    • Slices of bread (for toasting)

    Instructions

    1. While the passion fruit reduction is cooling, prepare the toasts. Take slices of bread and toast them until they are crispy and golden
    2. Place slices of mozzarella cheese on the toasted bread
    3. Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 10-15 minutes or until it thickens to a syrup-like consistency. Stir occasionally
    4. Drizzle the cooled passion fruit reduction over the mozzarella and basil toasts
